Lumpkin Youth Leadership

The Lumpkin Youth Leadership Program, offered by the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce, is a youth-focused leadership development initiative designed to inspire and prepare high school students for future leadership roles in their community.

Program Highlights:

  • Target Audience: High school juniors in Lumpkin County who demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to community involvement.
  • Curriculum: The program mirrors the adult Leadership Lumpkin County program, offering students a series of sessions that explore local government, education, economic development, public safety, and civic engagement.
  • Experiential Learning: Participants engage in hands-on activities, site visits, and discussions with local leaders to gain a deeper understanding of how their community functions.
  • Skill Development: Emphasis is placed on communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and ethical leadership.
