Advocacy

The Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber & Visitors Bureau works on behalf of members to advance responsible public policy that ensures that the business community has the resources, infrastructure, and opportunities to keep our region's economy strong and growing.

The Chamber considers itself the voice and advocate of business in Dahlonega and Lumpkin County. It monitors laws and regulations that may impact its membership, the community, economic development, business retention, and quality of life issues at the Federal, State and local levels of government.

Additionally, the Chamber works closely with the City of Dahlonega and Lumpkin County elected and administrative leaders on key local and state issues, and has solid partnerships with regional organizations and other chambers.

If you are interested in becoming more involved, check out the Governmental Affairs Committee that works to monitor, analyze, and develop recommendations on legislative issues affecting the local business community. Contact Robb Nichols, President, (706) 867-3766 or robb@DLCchamber.org for more information.
